hi
i live in van dalen road north in ruimsig (ruimsig manor 3)
i've got clear LOS to SIR CASTLE. The distance from my house to SC is give or take 2km
i just installed my wug kit and did the first scan
i picked up 10 - 15 results, none of them named "www.jawug.net/xxxx" or "sir castle", all of them with a signal strength of around -75 to - 90.
what is sircastle named when i'm scanning for it?
also is there someone else who live in the same area as me with a better signal strength?
i'm really a noob with all of this, so any support is appreciated!

It looks like Sircastle is currently down (I am also down and cannot see it).
I hear that someone is trying to sort out the problem. I would just keep trying once a day until you pickup a SC Sector on a Scan. Once it is up and you can SCan it, go to IRC on the jawug-west channel and talk to the admins, They will help from there.
You should pickup "www.jawug.net/xxxx" or "www.jawug.org.za/xxxx" |
